  16. Problem:  "Cannot find file" message appears, and TMG! quits.
  17. Cause:    There are files missing in your Too Many Geckos directory.
  18. Solution: Re-install Too Many Geckos.  Make sure you have a complete
  19.       version.  Shareware versions can be downloaded from a variety
  20.       of sources which are listed at the end of this document. If
  21.       you are missing files from your registered version, contact
  22.       technical support.

  25. Problem:  "Not enough Memory" message appears and TMG! quits.
  26. Cause:    There is not enough system RAM currently available to run TMG!.  
  27. Solution: Run SETUP and enable virtual memory, setting the memory to
  28.       the amount of actual memory in your machine. 
  29.       If you are running SMARTDRV, you can set it so it uses less
  30.       system RAM.
  31.       If you don't have at least 4 Meg of system RAM, you won't
  32.       have much luck running TMG!
  33. Cause:    TMG is being run from another application such as DOSSHELL, which
  34.       won't release memory to TMG.
  35. Solution: Run Too Many Geckos! files from the DOS PROMPT only.

  38. Problem:  I have a mouse, but there is no mouse cursor on my screen.
  39. Cause:    Mouse drivers have not been installed.
  40. Solution: Install the mouse drivers.  Usually as easy as typing the
  41.       command MOUSE at the command line prompt. If you have a mouse
  42.       which uses different drivers, consult your hardware user manual
  43.       and find the name of the DOS mouse driver.

  46. Problem:  I have a sound card, but I get no music.
  47. Cause:    The proper I/O port has not been configured from SETUP.
  48. Solution: Run SETUP and configure the I/O port as specified in your
  49.       soundcard's user manual.
  50. Cause:    The FM sound card is not Adlib or SoundBlaster compatible. 
  51. Soultion: Check your user manual to make sure your sound card is Adlib or
  52.       SoundBlaster FM compatible.

  55. Problem:  I have a sound card, but I get no sound.
  56. Cause:    The proper I/O port has not been configured from SETUP.
  57. Solution: Run SETUP and configure the I/O port as specified in your
  58.       soundcard's user manual.
  59. Cause:    The soundcard is not SoundBlaster compatible.
  60. Solution: If you have an Adlib card, you will only be able to get music,
  61.       as these cards were made before it was common to put digital 
  62.       signal processors on board.

  65. Problem:  I can't solve the puzzles.
  66. Cause:    Giving up too soon.
  67. Solution: Check the README.TXT file for hints, on-line help for instrucutions.
  68.       All the puzzles have been checked and verified by Anarchy 
  69.       Entertainment Inc., and its Beta testers, that is to say, they 
  70.       all work! Persistance pays!

  73. Problem:  Program hangs or crashes.
  74. Cause:    We have no record of this, its a new bug.
  75. Solution: See if you can replicate it, then contact technical support to
  76.       report a bug.

  79. Problem:  My problem is not covered in this document
  80. Solution: Reboot your machine with a "clean" boot.  If you are using 
  81.       DOS version 6.0 or higher, hold down the left SHIFT key to
  82.       bypass AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS.  If you are using a DOS 
  83.       version lower than 6.0, make a boot disk with no AUTOEXEC.BAT and
  84.       no CONFIG.SYS.  Make sure you install the MOUSE driver from the
  85.       command line.  If this does not fix your problem, you need to
  86.       re-install TMG! or get a new copy.
